Santa Land returns to Tyler

I’ve driven on I-20 a number of times recently and have seen a long line of cars lining up for Santa Land. There were two things that popped into my head. The first was about how fast time is flying. I still can’t believe December is already here. That means Christmas is on the way as is a new year. Has it really been that long since we celebrated the arrival of 2015? Seeing the long line of cars also showed me just how popular Santa Land is. I’ve never actually driven through it but it seems like it would be a lot of fun for the whole family, that is, once you can get to the front of the line.

In case anyone is wondering what Santa Land is, it’s a Texas Original drive-thru Christmas Park. It includes a narrative tour, a huge Christmas light display of several acres, Santa’s workshop, a gift shop and so much more.

The cost is $25 per car is open seven days a week, including holidays from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. It’s open now until Jan. 4, 2016. Commercial vans under 15 passengers cost $35 per van. Groups of $25 or more cost $8 per person.
