Rudy’s Barbeque

If you like Barbeque, it doesn’t get much better than Rudy’s. The Tyler branch reopened a few years ago after being struck by lightning. That in itself is pretty unique.

The story of the Rudy’s franchise is pretty unique. Rudolph Aue opened a one-stop gas station, garage and grocery store and in 1989, a country store opened up and started serving delicious Barbeque.

It’s got top-of the line meats such as pork loin, chopped beef ribs, chicken, whole link sausage, moist brisket, lean brisket and more. The company caters and has group deals.

If you want a taste of Texas, there’s not a better option. Customers have given their reviews and seem to be more than satisfied with Rudy’s right next to Hollywood Theaters right on the loop.

Steve in Los Angeles says he visited the Tyler location and loved it.

“Nice southern BBQ place in Tyler, TX,” he wrote. “We visited this place and enjoy the brisket BBQ for lunch.  It is so tender and juicy that they were all meted in my mouth.  Awesome experience to have Rudy’s BBQ.

Christie from Louisiana said, “We ate at Rudy’s for the first time today while passing thru the area. We really enjoyed it. We were greeted when we came in the door and all the staff we came in contact with was very polite. We told them it was our first visit and they politely explained how to order. Everyone cooks their BBQ different, and we are from Louisiana, so you never know if you’re going to like it while traveling. But the BBQ at Rudy’s was very good and I would visit again! Among the things we tried were the creamed corn, banana pudding and the chopped turkey, which were all tasty.”

If you haven’t tried it yet, I’d ask why not and strongly suggest you do so. After all, we didn’t climb to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables.
