NBA Finals

The NBA Finals are almost here. The playoff last for what seems like forever but before too long, basketball fans will tune in to watch the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs go head to head for the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Miami is the heavy favorite. Lebron James is going for his second ring as the Heat look to go back-to-back.

The Spurs on the other hand are hoping to win their fifth championship in franchise history. Another ring for Tim Duncan would seal his fate as one of the greatest players in history. At the very least, his name is in the discussion for the best power forward to ever play the game. If he leads his Spurs to a win over the Miami Heat and a fifth ring, he’ll leave very little question and you may even have to consider him as one of the best in his era.

As for the Heat, James and Dwayne Wade still have a long way to go if they want to seal up a spot as the greatest. A second ring for Lebron won’t put him much higher in the record books but it could be just one more step to being near the top.

There are several story lines worthy of following in this year’s finals. I may just get a beer and throw on some steaks since I can do that in Tyler now. Who knows, I may go catch a game at Buffalo Wild Wings or something too. Regardless, I definitely plan to watch these games.
