This is a new King James Version Bible that also has some of our nations founding Christian principles and stories in it.
This Bible would be a good resource for those who would like to be caught up on principles rather than politics.
What Tyler Texas and the nation needs is a new love for solid Christian principles that made our nation one that values and protects individual liberties.
A Bible like this can help equip you to tell your friends, family, and the public why we must stand up and fight for the principles soldiers fought so hard for that we have today.

Just as Obama a left wing radical ungodly athiest became president I put it out there that Louisana Gov. Bobby Jindal will succeed him.
This time it will be a godly conservative politician that loves America and believes in personal freedom and liberty.

Jericho’s is a used book store with plenty of character. It is quite a find for book lovers and collectors.
The shop goes back and back with bookshelves from floor to ceiling packed with books clearly labeled in sections. All are sold at half of the price on the cover, many are significantly less. There are mysteries, household, travel books, Christian books, poetry, a vintage section and a huge section on American history to name just a few. I was a little disappointed with the kids selection but you can’t have everything.
Jerihos doesn’t just sell books. They have videos (at $1 each) DVDs, board games, vinyl records, audio books, comics CDs and posters all at bargain prices. They also promise to try and find any item that you are looking for through online searches. They will review almost anything for purchase – not just books and music or movies, they love anything collectible, but they will take a few days to look at anything you want to sell. Oh and if it’s not a book – it has to be ‘cool’ for them to trade with you!
On opening the door to the shop, my son said instantly – ‘Ooh it smells nice in here’ – he’s a book lover as you can see. I glanced at the 25 cent books as I walked in – mainly romances this week which wasn’t of much interest to me, but who knows what will be on sale next week – they always have specially discounted items of various genres which change frequently.
To the left of the shop door are 2 armchairs in front of a little fire (the only fake thing in the shop!) and you can help yourself to some free coffee and sit and look through a book or a recent magazine at your leisure. I hope you are getting the picture of this shop – it is a business that is LOVINGLY run by people who clearly love books and their readers! They even run special events like Scavenger hunts, murder mysteries, writing contests, music and parties for their patrons.
I imagine Jericho’s has quite a cult following, if you like books, check it out!

Tyler Barnes and Noble is a place where you can go and find the book you are looking for. They have all kinds of books on all kinds of topics. I go to Barnes and Nobles sometimes with my friends and I love to hang out and look around at the books they have. They don’t mind if you pick a seat and read a book or so. They make it so that you can feel right at home if you decide to read there.
They also have a place where they have magazines anywhere from those on fashion, people, cars, your home, food and other types of topics. They also have a selection for your children and they have it set up to where if you want to sit down and read to your child you can.
Inside the Tyler Barnes and Noble they also have a
Starbucks and you know that everyone likes a good cup of coffee while you are reading a good book. If you don’t like looking around for a book or don’t feel like reading you can choose to hang out with your friends and have a cup of coffee and catch up on old times.
Barnes and Noble book store often has sales so you can find books there for a reasonable price especially if using your Barnes and Nobles customer card. If you don’t have the money to buy the book then you can just go and read while you are there. I am sure they won’t care if you hang out, have a cup of coffee and read a book without purchasing it. I have done this on numerous occasions although they know you will take one or two home eventually and this is why this type of setup works.

In the nineteen nineties a group of friends and I established “Timeless Books and Music” as our second residence. We passed hours on the store’s floor and in its couches sifting through everything from classics to nineteen forties and fifties science fiction. The owner at the time became familiar with our tastes and would set aside books he knew would be of interest to us. As a result, my library contains some obscure but semi-valuable editions I would otherwise never have found. In those days the primary but not exclusive, literature to be found in the store was fiction from the first few decades of the turn of the century. There was a smattering of religion and history, and as I said classics, but the old dime back fiction was the order of the day. We’d find old Lewis and Lovecraft, Fritz Lieber and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
There was music for sale in those days as well. In fact if I were to walk through the music section today, I would probably find items we dropped off in trade for some form of reading material.
Today, Timeless has a new owner, but the same location on Broadway next to Hastings. And while the genre of books has changed, the store still keeps a steady flow of customers. The literature offered has broadened in terms of appeal. There are all kinds of mostly newer fiction. Timeless carries many of the same titles one might find in a bigger chain, but at used bookstore prices. The music section has grown considerably since I last visited too. If you’re looking for old vinyl or cassette tapes, Timeless is probably your best bet in Tyler.
Truth be told, things have changed a lot since I used to visit all those years ago. I no longer spend my entire afternoon haunting the shelves of the bookstore, nor do I tend to skip meals in order to buy books, (although that wouldn’t kill me either), but if you’re looking for some good beach reading this summer, you can still find it at Timeless Books and Music. Located at 4129 S Broadway in Tyler Texas.

Father Heart is located in Lindale, Texas, Garden Valley. It is a ministry for pregnant women who find themselves pregnant and no where to go without anyone to help. It is a non profit ministry and their mission is to help the girls that are in need get help and to save the life of their babies also.
Father Heart is a loving place that can help when you find yourself in a place trapped because of the choices you have made and are left pregnant and wondering what in the world do you do next. Father Heart can help you make a decision that is the most loving for you and your baby no matter what the circumstance is. You can find loving people there who are there to help you figure out things for yourself and share getting your life back on track. You also have an opportunity to continue working on your degree while you prepare for the most important decision of your life.
Father Heart offers counseling also for the girls and courses of care for you while you are there. It helps you decide whether you want to parent your baby or place your baby for adoption, which both choices are loving and hard at the same time. I know this because 10 years ago I chose to place my baby through Father Heart and it was the hardest decision I ever had to make in my life at that time.
Even though its a loving decision it does not make it easy. On the other hand choosing to parent a baby is also hard. But no matter what you choose to do the staff at Father Heart will help you with your decisions. If you choose to keep your baby they help you get ready for mothering and if you choose to place, your baby they help you find a loving family that will love you and your baby. I will recommend Father Heart to anyone who is in need of help because they found themselves in unplanned pregnancy. While you are there you have the opportunity of meeting girls your age going through the same things you are going through.
The staff there are loving and there to help with anything that is needed. It is a very large beautiful home with a swimming pool and a large place for walking around and getting some exercise. You usually share a room with another person and the bedrooms are luxurious, better than some hotels I have been around.
If you happen to need a place or you know of anyone who needs a place to be while going through their pregnancy then Father Heart is the place to be around loving people who care for you and want to help you make the best loving decision for yourself and for your baby. If anyone who is in need of help and they are in a crisis pregnancy please tell them of the offer that Father Heart provides for them and their baby.

Tyler YWAM Youth with a Mission is located in Lindale, Texas. For those of you who don’t know what YWAM is or what it stands for I will tell you. It is a christian organization that loves God and wants to make God known through out the nations.
YWAM Tyler has a variety of schools you can choose from. Their philosophy is to know God and to make him known. It has over 15 schools you can choose from depending on your interests. It is a place where you can be temporary or long term depending on your choosing. It is a place where you can go and learn about God, his nature and character.
You learn how to hear His voice and how to cultivate a relationship with the Creator of the Universe. I know that there are some people out who are slandering this ministry. The way I see it there will always be people who choose to see and believe the things that they want to about a particular place or person. The truth of the matter is that in YWAM you can only find people who love God and want to do His will above all else.
It offers Discipleship school where you learn who God is and who you are in Him.
You have about five months for this school. Three months you spend in class having lectures and the rest you spend out on mission teams ministering to people who need help in all nations depending where you feel that God called you.
It also provides for you S.O.E. which is School of Evangelism, English as a second Language, School of Arts, Mobile Teams. Living alternatives is also a YWAM ministry which offers help to pregnant women or teens that need help and don’t know the next step to take. It is the most loving place where you can be. I know that because I myself went there 10 years ago when I ended up pregnant and alone and nowhere to go.
Father Heart helped me make the best decision for my baby. I also did a D.T.S. which is a discipleship school with YWAM and loved it.
My outreach was in Japan. So I got to go see another culture and share God’s love with them at the same time. I also went and did School of the Bible through YWAM which changed my life. I have forgotten about the Father Heart of God. For awhile I backslid and decided that being out in the world was more fun than being tied down to some religious thing. Boy was I wrong, it only brought me a world of pain.
In the end, YWAM was the safest and most loving environment I have ever been around. People there care for your well being and their goal is for you to know God and have a loving relationship with God. I know that there are alot of hings people are saying about YWAM which are not true. Either those people have never been there or they have and got in trouble and are angry at the ministry for having to leave because they would not comply with the rules. You can always find people that have something negative to say.
The truth is that YWAM is a place where people love God with their whole heart and then made it their life’s mission to make God known and to win souls over to Christ. But just like any other ministry of course, you are working with people that are not perfect and things won’t always go your way. In fact you can bet that things won’t go your way. But it’s worth leaving things behind to find out God’s heart for you and others. I would encourage everyone who has not visited YWAM Lindale, Texas to do so and discover for themselves that it is a place where people gather together to serve God and learn more about Him and make Him known to the world.
There is so much more I could say but I will choose to end now so it won’t get too long and people decide not to read this article.

If you’ve ever wondered what there is to get involved with to make your faith based in something big, here is an answer. YWAM is a Christian organization that focuses on discipling people to be able to profess who they are in Christ in their every day actions and attitudes as a testimony to the true changes of Christ.
There are over 166 bases like this one all over the world, this is one of MANY. This base is located in Lindale just off of HWY 16. It is split among two locations. One in Lindale and one more directly in Tyler Texas. There are about 400 people working with this ministry currently and many many students.
There are many opportunities to get involved with this ministry, they organize several functions you can be a part of if you would like. Take Action is an event for Youth that takes place every year, the production is done here, then travels to Houston and Chicago. This is a whole day event that focuses on bringing real issues to light in a teens life and offers support and discipleship to begin a new work in their lives. It’s a production of music, dancing, acting and media. Such a sight to see and is well worth the investment to go to or send your kids to.
The location in Lindale also dedicates part of its time to facilitating Dwell nights. A Dwell night is a night were people gather, from YWAM and friends in town, to dwell/soak in the presence of God. The gym is cleared of chairs and tables, rugs and pillows laid about, lights dimmed and stations placed around the edges of the room that highlight prayer needs or art inspiration. There is a time of worship together and waiting on the Lord, sometimes there are speakers but its mostly worship.
These times have proven to be so rich and full of Jesus. A time of being ministered to and ministering to others. Anyone is welcome to come, they usually happen about once a month. The YWAM web page will have dates of these particular events.
Something else you might be interested in getting involved with are SST’s. These are camps held in the summer for teens. Hard core spiritual time with God, adventure challenges and outreach to Mexico (depending on which week you go, other options are available). Its basically three weeks of awesomeness. If you are looking for an intense and real Christian experience near Tyler, TX this summer then this is what you need to look into.
SST stands for Summer of Service and Training. Hundreds flow in every summer and hundreds flow out and most of them leave with a flame still burning with the desire to know God more and to make him know. There are stories after stories of teens leaving and coming back, going into missions, transforming their schools and transforming their families. This is something real! Anyone is welcome to apply and come… you are invited!
Any of these events listed are listed on the YWAM Tyler website with tons more information and videos to watch and testimonies to read. Please go check it out.
