Dr. Morgan

jacksonville family chiropractor roy morgan

Jacksonville Family Chiropractor

Dr. Morgan is a chiropractor and nutritionist in Jacksonville, Texas. I have always heard about the way that he diagnoses people and how questionable his strange ways are. Dr. Morgan does some strange things, like pull on pressure point on you body and watch your reactions just to see what vitamins you are missing, he also will ask you to hold small glass bottles with clear liquid and push on your other hand to check your strength. By doing this he sees what foods your body is rejecting. Even though the way he diagnoses his patients are questionable and to be honest, a little hokey, the results are undeniable.

He helps people of all ages and people with all different problems. My daughter has been doing the oddest thing for the past few months, which was eating strange things like chalk, dirt, paper, and even dry wall. It was really strange for her to act that way. I started to worry because she started to hardly eat food, even if it was her favorite foods. I began to get really worried and quickly called her doctor. He told me to just give her iron vitamins. I tried that and nothing improved. So I decided to investigate, I quickly discovered that there is a eating disorder called PICA that three year olds can get. Basically small children eat dirt instead of food to get that full feeling. I got really worried so I took her to Dr. Morgan. He did a strange method to find what her body was missing and what her body is rejecting. The doctor gave her chewable supplements to take a couple times a day, and told me to keep her off of MSG. Once I began to do what the doctor said within a couple days I saw such a huge difference. Not only did she start to eat her food and stopped crazy dirt, she was able to communicate better, and listen to direction much easier. I was impressed with her attitude and obedience. It was like she could finally think clearly.

My daughter is one of many people that has changed their health and lives because of Dr. Morgan. I still am not a complete believer in his ways. I don’t understand how he can see that you have gallbladder problems by pushing on your hand, but the results are clear. He provides his patients with a natural way to live a healthy and happy life.

Sonic in Tyler Texas

January 16th, 2010

Do you tip at Sonic? That’s a discussion I’ve had with several people recently after discovering that the workers who bring you your food actually expect tips. Should I feel like a jerk for my ignorance in not knowing this already? In my defense, I usually use the drive through, but when I don’t, I usually don’t tip.

I know, they don’t expect a lot but the thought of tipping at a fast food restaurant just seems weird to me. When you go through a drive through somewhere, and they ask you to pull up because your food isn’t ready yet, do you tip the person that finally does bring it?

If I have about 50 cents or so left, I may let them keep the change but I’m not going to go out of my way to give an extra something. No offense, but unless you’re coming by and refilling my drinks, I just don’t see it as being necessary. Not to mention, if you expect a tip, you need to make that an option for people paying with a debit card. One point that’s been made to me is the fact that the workers usually get paid minimum wage. They’re not actual waiters and waitresses here.

Almost every time I have this conversation with someone, I’m reminded of something that happened to me. A couple days or so after my cousin and I had gone to Sonic on the Loop and 64 in Tyler, I was cleaning out my car which required me to pick take out the Sonic bag from just nights before. In it, I found some ketchup packets. On one of those packets was written a girls name and phone number.

This had us puzzled. Was it intended for me, or him, which one? Or was it not intended for either of us. Perhaps someone had written a name and number on several packets and threw them in there and we happened to be one of the (not so) “lucky” ones. Regardless, the possibilities were endless.

That night at Sonic, there was no flirtatious Sonic employee. There was no drop dead gorgeous woman for whom either of us would consider buying a Rout 44 strawberry limeade. We simply came to the conclusion if the number actually belonged to a girl worth calling, we would have remembered it and therefore, we decided to let it remain a mystery. Who knows, maybe she was just trying to get a tip.

Tyler TX Countertops
We recently used a granite counter top company in Tyler TX that was recommended to us by a custom cabinet maker. Mitch West with Cupboards Plus told us about Hank Pruitt and his 15 years experience in cutting, fashioning, and installing custom granite countertops for kitchens and bathrooms. We called up Hank Pruitt and he came over and measured our cabinets and gave us a quote a couple days later. He told us we could go over to U.S. Granite in Tyler and let them know that Hank Pruitt told us to come look at granite slabs as he would be using those slabs to make our countertops.

We went over to U.S. Granite and discovered they had a very wide selection of exotic and standard granite slabs to choose from. We decided to pick an exotic slab as they have more unique aspects to them than the standard ones available. We chose a very flowing granite slab that was green and gray. Once we told Hank about the slab we had picked out he was able to quote us a price. Each price is dependent on how big the slab is and how many slabs it will take to create your counter tops.

We were able to have our counter tops made with only two slabs but we almost needed 3. Hank Pruitt cut and polished our granite counter tops and installed them on our newly built custom cabinets. He also installed our under mount sink and cut out holes where our faucet and handles go. The whole job was precise and crafted exceptionally well. Hank has been doing granite counter tops going on 15 years now and really knows what he is doing. He is an affordable granite counter top company and can get you a quote that will be competitive without sacrificing on the quality of work that needs to be done.

We have nothing but good things to say about Hank and would like to recommend him as our preferred granite counter top contractor. We always recommend getting a few bids from local contractors but in the end we think you will find Hank to not only be affordable but someone with years of experience in the granite counter top cutting and installation business.

Dove Tree Apartment Tyler Texas

October 27th, 2009

Dovetree Apartments in Tyler TX
There are many different apartment complexes in Tyler Texas, but I have had the most personal experience at the Dove Tree apartment complex. I was first attracted to the complex because of the location and price. One advice that I would give to anyone looking for an apartment is to get the complaints that were made to the police department.

As my new family and I looked for an apartment we wanted a safe place for a good price. I found Dove Tree apartment. It looked great and could give us the apartment that we wanted right away. It was right in the middle of town. The apartment was just a couple miles from the mall and grocery stores. As a bonus, the apartment had a pool and a great work out room. Our neighbors were, nice, yet interesting, to say the least. We did not have any problems with the people around and we lived a couple miles from my work. It seemed great.

After a couple months after living there the roof began to leak. We called maintenance. It took about two weeks of annoying dripping throughout the night and several frustrating phone calls for someone to come take a look at our bathroom ceiling. Finally a man came in the middle of the day and vacuumed out a metal crawl space from where water was dripping into the four buckets we had in the middle of our bathroom floor. That idea stopped the unbearable dripping for only a couple days. A few more weeks past and several more phone calls before they decided to come again. I would think that if one thing was not working that they would try to do something else. But again the maintenance vacuumed out the water and went onto the next thing. I was very frustrated after fighting with this for months, and the entire time we lived there it never was completely fix.

Apartments have so many hidden secrets. Even though we had a six month lease we had to tell the management that we were leaving about four months before we were going to move out or they would charge us an outrageous fee. This bothered me, because if you get a six month lease, obviously your intentions are to move out in six months. I met one young lady who did not realize this rule and went to tell them a couple weeks before she left, they told her that she had to pay for the next month and some ridiculous fee that did not completely make sense.

The apartment selection is huge in the Tyler area, do not sale yourself short. Make sure the maintenance is quick and do not forget to read the small print.
