Texas Roadhouse in Tyler TX

December 5th, 2010

Texas Roadhouse is a steak restaurant in Tyler Texas and is most closely compared to Outback Steakhouse.

At the same time they are very different places. For one you have buckets of peanuts still in the shell to chuck and pop in your mouth.

You can then throw the shells anywhere you like. Be careful not to throw too closely to someones foot as you never know when you may be next to a Texas redneck. The redneck has been known to stomp on yer face if a peanut shell lands on their boot or girlfriend.

The weekends are crazy busy and much busier than Outback Steakhouse. The atmosphere is brighter inside and gives off a Texas ranch style charm.

The waitresses and waiters are all pretty young but almost all seem like seasoned wait staff that have worked in restaurants for years.

When you meet your waitress or waiter they often get right down to business and may not have time for lots of friendly banter which is ok because this means they move quick.

You get loads of rolls with cinammon butter and they always seem quick to notice refills in need.

Most of what’s on the menu is really good. I usually get the Fort Worth T-bone and my wife gets a small filet.

Regarding their vegetables stay away from the green beans. They taste like you’re eating a salty slimy grasshopper but other then that Texas Roadhouse is great!

Dr. Charles Robinson, dentist being reported to be a peeping Tom

December 2nd, 2010

Dr. Charles Robinson has been reported on several news stations in Tyler as having installed cameras in a house he was renting to peep on a 14 year old girl and a 40 year old woman.

When asked about suspicious behavior in the attic he told the tenant he was changing a light bulb.

The tenant later discovered hidden cameras in the attic. The doctor admitted to some of the alleged complaints against him and is out of jail on bail tonight.

His neighbors describe him as a good Christian man. We will hold off on passing judgement until this goes through a fair court trial but it is a weird wild story involving a dentist and hidden cameras, the stuff nightmares are made of.

Dr. Charles R. Hammond, DDS

(903) 561-5610
image963231238.jpgI have been getting my teeth cleaned at Dr. Hammonds dental office for a couple years now. I was referred to this Tyler dentist by my wife who had been going there for awhile. This dentist office is unique in that there are atleast two dental higenists that work here that have been there for 25 years.

At Dr. Hammonds office you will find that his staff and higenists are carefully chosen. His office does a great job with those that provide dental care to people like me that really pay attention to those who care. I have been to some dental offices where it almost seems like the employees are zoned out trying to push through another week of teeth grinding. You will not find this attitude at Dr. Hammonds dental office. The employees here genuinely enjoy their jobs and you see this in how they educate and care for you throughout your visit.

We have not been paid by Dr. Hammonds office to refer them to this directory and Tyler Texas residents. We genuinely love the care and work of the dental staff at Dr. Hammonds and want to give them their deserved online promotion.

Chandler Family Chiropractic Near Tyler

January 31st, 2010

Chandler Family Chiropractic

323 Hwy 31 E (PO Box 1894)
Chandler, TX 75758
Office: (903) 849-2200
Fax: (903) 849-2600

Chandler Family Chiropractic, Acupuncture & Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression is located in Chandler, TX directly off of Highway 31 E. It is only ten miles from Loop 323 in Tyler. It is easy to miss, as the town is very small and their sign is not very pronounced. Several times we have driven right by it. A good tip: It’s right across from the Mexican restaurant and within the main section of town. If you find that you’ve passed all of the gas stations and fast food restaurants, you’ve gone too far.

Dr. Charles R. Dixon has been serving the Tyler-area community since February 2001. His services include spinal decompression therapy, acupuncture (with or without needles), massage therapy, heat and ice therapy, electric stimulus therapy and more. His staff includes his wife and niece who run the front office and massage therapist Mindy Terrell.

Dr. Dixon runs his family practice with skill and enthusiasm. As a patient, I have been shown genuine kindness from all the staff and I have only good things to say about the quality of treatment. I am one of the many patients who used to be in chronic back pain, but that pain is now history. My husband has also been pain-free for months. He had horrible low back pain to the point where he would fall over.

I am always greeted at the door with warm and welcoming smiles. More than once Dr. Dixon has met me at my car and carried my daughter’s infant car seat for me to the office to save me from heavy lifting. He has repeatedly worked late or into his lunch break for us. Once on a Friday evening he even came back to the office after hours to adjust me because he didn’t want my weekend to be miserable.

I first came to know of Chandler Family Chiropractic through a friend of mine. I had been in pain for a year and had never gone to see a chiropractor because at the time I was in school, uninsured and could not afford it. This friend of mine gave me Dr. Dixon’s phone number, which I assumed was the number to his office. It was actually his cell phone number, and Dr. Dixon himself answered and discussed treatment for my back pain. He assured me that he would do his very best to make me pain-free, payment or not, and set up an appointment right then and there.

When I went into the office I was pleasantly surprised by how charming the little office was. The patients all seemed content and relaxed. The staff was more than simply welcoming. They made us feel like family by the time our visit was over, and they sent me home pain-free to boot! My husband and I have been his patients and friends ever since.

I am so thankful for the good care Dr. Dixon has afforded us over the years. He and his wife are good people who have a heartfelt compassion for the needs of others. They go above and beyond what is required or expected of chiropractic care in their hospitality and even in their very thorough and comprehensive medical care. It seems that they would give their services away if there was another way to support their family. They are some of the most giving people I know. I highly recommend his office to anyone who is in need of chiropractic care.
