The UT Tyler Cowan Center hosted Jerry Seinfeld this month and it also became official that another comedian and sitcom star will make an appearance. Jim Belushi will be in Tyler April 11, 2014.

Belushi was the star of “According to Jim” which aired for eight years on ABC. He was also a regular part of Saturday Night Live. In 1978, he made his TV debut in “Who’s Watching the Kids.” In 1981, he got his first significant role in a show called “Thief” by Michael Mann.

Belushi landed several gigs in 1986, including a spot in “Salvador”, “About Last Night”, “The Birthday Boy”, “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Little Shop of Horrors.”

In 1988, he appeared in the move, “Red Heat,” which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. A year later he starred in “K-9”. He has also appeared in several animated films and cartoons where he did voice-over work. He also appeared as himself in several TV shows and movies.

Belushi will be joined by Robert Belushi, Larry Joe Campbell, Jon Barinholtz and Brad Morris. Together they form a comedy team that continues to tour the country.
