Like a Date Show Cooking Class for Two, Have an Awesome Date Night!

March 2nd, 2012

Japanese Night: March 21st 6:30-8:30: sushi, udon soup, shrimp and vegetable tempura. $75 per person

Tyler has a very unique date night idea with the new addition of the business, Let’s Cook. This business specializes in teaching couples and singles how to cook meals in a large romantic kitchen setting.

Have you ever seen one of those late night date shows where people who have never met before go to a unique date night destination.

Think of Let’s Cook as a unique date night destination that is sure to leave a memorable impression that will stay with you for a long time.

My wife and I really had no idea what to expect but ended up having a really good time, food to eat throughout the cooking session, as well as food to take home.

When my wife and I did it each couple had a cooking station in front of them as well as many different cooking ingredients. We cooked several different Italian courses and had a blast with our chef and teacher, Chef Al.

I want to recommend this place because it really is one of those unique off the beaten path ideas that is worth doing at least once.

Do you find it difficult to prepare inviting and healthy meals for just yourself and/or another? Sometimes recipes are not easy to scale down and leftovers are boring. Let Kathleen Stanfill teach you how to make dining exciting, nutritious, and easy whether you, are single, empty-nesters, or just want to cook for a friend.

“Having cooked for a family of four for 30 years, it was difficult to learn to cook for one! I consider myself a pretty good cook, but was AMAZED by how much I learned in Kathleen’s class on Cooking for One or Two. In addition to phenomenal tips and systems, it was lots of FUN! I especially liked her ideas on how we can always have fresh, delicious homemade meals. Can’t wait for the class on Soups!”

S.S.T. School of Summer Training

January 12th, 2010

S.S.T. stands for School of Summer Training and is a program that is available through YWAM Texas located in Lindale, Texas near Tyler TX. This is a program where teens can go and have a lot of fun while learning about God. It is a summer program and it’s a couple of weeks long. You have one week sessions of classes and lots of fun and the other week you go on an outreach to Mexico usually.

It is an excellent way to spend your summer and make sure your children are in a good environment and are learning good moral things. S.S.T. concentrates on teaching the children how to have a relationship with God and make decisions based on God’s word and not just their emotions. It is also an opportunity for them to find new friends that have similar goals in life and love God and are trying to figure out what His will is for their life.

I don’t think there is anything more exciting in life than to know that your children love God and are walking in His ways and that they don’t live to please man…but to please God. At the same time it’s not just all about work and no fun. While they are there, they end up having lots of fun activities for the children.

For parents who are looking for a good place for your children to go for the summer I would encourage you to look into Summer School of Training and see if it would be something that your teen might enjoy. While they are out having fun that will give you the parent an opportunity to spend time doing some of the things that you could not do if your children were at home. Your children will be in good hands and there is nothing to worry about because the staff is great and loves working with your children.

Their hearts are for your children in making sure they know God and make Him known to others. Christian counselors are their to teach and help them learn how to make better decisions in life. This program will better equip your children to be able to go out and face the world full on because they will know the truth about some of the things that are out there and are a danger for your children. I can truly say that it would be a blessing to have your children go to one of the Summer Training Programs that YWAM has going through out the summer each year.

Tyler Green Acres Bowling

January 8th, 2010

Tyler Green Acres Bowling located in the Tyler Texas area is lots of fun and fairly cheap. If you are looking for something fun and clean to do with your friends, I would strongly encourage you to try bowling.

I went there with some of my friends. The shoes only cost a couple of dollars and the game was $2.00 per game. Besides being cheap, it is very entertaining and lots of fun. Also it is a clean, environment, smoke free.

In addition to bowling there are also lots of other games you can play if you don’t like bowling.

There is a small area for food at reasonable prices and the taste is not bad. Also for a bonus there is free coffee. You can’t beat that. For those who would like to have a drink while they play a game there is a small bar area where you can order some drinks. Of course, I think it might impair your game so it’s probably better not to. But like I said that is available for those who like to mix the two together.

Next time you are thinking of something fun to do, but do not have lots of money to spend, gather some of your friends together and go to Tyler Green Acres Bowing. You won’t be disappointed, just thrilled.

In addition to the fun of bowling it will be pretty comical, watching your friends bowl. If you are the type of person that likes to make new friends, there are a lot of other people there that are bowling. You never know who you might meet. You just might make a new friend, while you are at it. And if you don’t have money for that, it never costs anything to go watch your friends and hang out. It beats being alone on a Friday or Saturday night.
