Trend in East Texas regarding money hungry patent trolls

April 2nd, 2011

Have you ever had one of those moments when you are watching a movie and there is a particular part that catches your attention and sticks with you until the right moment comes to apply it to your life? Well, mine is from National Treasure and this is the moment.

Remember towards the end of the movie and the good guys are being held hostage and forced to help the bad guys find the treasure? And as they are walking along held at gun point, the wise older father turns to his son, and says “You have to change the status quo.”

Well, imagine me as the wise older father and the court houses of Marshall, Texarkana, and Tyler Texas as the son, “You have to change the status quo.” because your being held hostage.

This trend of money-hungry patent trolls coming to these towns must stop. There has been a status quo established in the eastern district of Texas that has helped to intensify the illegitament business of making money off of bought out patents.

This status quo includes sped up court process specifically for patent infringement and a high percentage of victory for plaintiffs of these cases. Now there is not much you can do about the jury’s findings because jury tampering is illegal.

But one thing to consider is the manner in which the judges are handling the court process of these particular cases. A set of “no nonsense” rules have been established in which lawyers are given a limit of time to present all paper work and are timed by a chess timer when presenting their case in which they are abruptly stopped if the timer goes off.

These types of things are a major part of why their courts are found so appealing for this abuse. In order for these judges to continue their commitment to the betterment of our nation they must change the status quo held in their court houses.

Obama Gave Cookie Cutter Bland Speech To America

August 31st, 2010
Obama Not a Favorite Among Military

Did you just touch me?

Obama said muddled during conversations with the military in Texas, that because of the U.S. efforts in the Iraq war, “America is more secure.”

During his speech he taunted these same military by saying that the war was a mistake. He refused to admit that the surge was a success and he used cloudy messages to continue his message that we should have never been in Iraq.

In his next breath he explained of his continued war path in Afghanistan as if although opposed to war for some reason the war in Afghanistan is much better than what we did in Iraq?

House Republican leader John Boehner said that congressional leaders who opposed the troop surge that led to advances in Iraq are now taking credit for it. Obama didn’t go so far as to take credit for success in Iraq but continues to refuse to admit that the surge did in fact work after he stated before that it would never work.

Now he acts as if the public believes this flip flop nonsense of some how the Iraq war was morally wrong but the Afghanistan war is right? Are we supposed to just believe him on this because of his supposed superior intellect or are people ready to admit that this guy is a fraud?

I am not so sure taking military forces out of Iraq is a good idea at this point although 50,000 US military will remain however secretive the left has tried to make this fact. The truth is we are still in Iraq and will likely need to be there awhile longer unless we want all those lives waisted in vain because of Obama now preferring the war in Afghanistan over the Iraq war.

I believe most of us in Tyler Texas understand that Obama and many of his leftist radicals are deceivers and Marxist enemy’s of traditional American values like the pursuit of each individual citizen to to have life, liberty, and happiness without being lumped into a large socialistic mass of people to provide a Utopian fairness.

This type of political system that the leftist government feeds the public is soaked up by easily manipulated young idealistic kids, people who believe they are smarter than most because of their masters degree, and many who take medication because of psychotic mental problems.

Obama’s speech was boring and everything I thought it would be. He made it perfectly bland not too far in either direction while making a hard stand on some of the things he simply can no longer back down from at this point in the game.

For the future, let’s hope our country sees good liberty loving American’s voted back into office and both liberal Republicans and liberal Democrats careers dried up for good.

TJC Cleaning Up Campus

August 3rd, 2010

For those who go to TJC like my wife you may have noticed over the last many years a lot of ghetto hollering player wannabe’s on campus harrasing women as they walk to their cars.

This will all change this Fall semester as all students and faculty must where ID tags on a necklace around their necks. I for one am very happy about this change. Anyone having been at TJC for the last few years is probably happy as well.

Let me tell you a little story about why we are so happy about this new development for those who don’t like ID necklaces.

I have seen it many times before but just wrote it off as young punk kids and went on to class. It wasn’t as bad when I went to school at TJC but in the last couple of years it was getting down right ridiculous.

I interviewed a couple different groups walking around on campus in the past and asked them “what’s up?” and so forth like I am another typical punk wondering around looking for some booty.

Both times they told me they didn’t go to school there but were just chillin’ and so forth trying to look fly and other nonsense. So I got the picture that TJC had become a better Wal-Mart type of hook up location where gangsters can meet slutty women they can take back to their crib and maybe get them hooked on some crack.

TJC had truly become an undesirable place for me the more obnoxious these player types began to be. It got really bad to the point that everytime I would walk to my car to go home after class I would see atleast two gangster looking dudes with some big fat gold chains and stuff asking for women’s numbers as they went to their cars.

My wife would get these guys doing the same stuff to her when she would leave for class at night.

She started interviewing teachers and students and many of them would tell her the same thing and that they felt unsafe leaving class to get into their vehicles at night.

TJC had become a hang out spot for drug dealers and player pimp types.

Thank goodness TJC has implemented a new policy that requires all students and faculty to wear a student ID necklace around their neck to indicate their status.

This ID requirement could not be more needed than it is now. TJC was becoming a criminal hang out for awhile there.

I personally know of a family member we are not real happy with who married one of these pimp player drug dealer people that were not students of TJC.

They met out at the parking lot probably as he was yelling, “Hey girl can I have yo number!” and she actually responded well to this?

They got married and now this guy is in jail for felony robbery and drug dealing.

TJC thank you for doing something truly beneficial after so many years of security guards only being good at issuing parking tickets.

Times Square Cinema: The Grown-up’s Choice

November 11th, 2009

First, you must understand that Times Square in Tyler bears no resemblance in any way, shape, or form to the famous Times Square in New York City. It has always intrigued young Tylerites that this name was ever chosen. Times Square shopping center, featuring staples like Casa Ole, Racquet & Jog, and Double Dave’s Pizzaworks have exactly nothing in common with New York City. But that doesn’t mean that Times Square in Tyler is without merit. Not only are the restaurants good and the location accessible, but the the The Times Square Cinema is a long-standing staple in the city.

Times Square Cinema is a small, privately owned, old time-feel family theater, which is a rarity in the modern age of mega-30 screen cinemaplexes. It is considerably smaller than the Tyler Rose in west Tyler, and a fraction of the size of Carmike 14. Nevertheless, The Times Square Cinema is a nice alternative for those who get tired of the crowds at the other locations. The theater offers digital projection, and 3-D viewing for movies that offer it. The snack bar isn’t huge, but it’s good, and cheaper than the other theaters as well. The staff here are friendly and productive, keeping a smile on their faces, and popcorn off the floor. It is a clean and pleasant place to watch a movie.

This theater is the cheapest in Tyler. Adult tickets are $7.50, a full $.75 cheaper than Carmike. Granted, the screens are not as large, and the infrastructure not as impressive. But the experience should be good, nevertheless.

Who should come to Times Square Cinema? Grown ups. Times Square is no longer a hip hang out place for high schoolers who prefer to congregate in massive crowds. They go to The Tyler Rose or to Carmike. That is reason enough for me to go watch a movie at Times Squaare. I know I won’t have to put up with alot of loudness or nonsense. Unless the movie itself is bad, I know I will have a good experience every time at Times Square Cinema. Because I’m a grown up.
