Diet for Weight Loss in Tyler, Texas

August 17th, 2010

Diet is important if you want to lose weight.  You cannot realistically expect to eat fast food every day for lunch and notice anything but an increase in your size.  The food choices you make have an impact on not only your size, but also your overall health.  Learning how to adopt a healthy diet, however, can be difficult with all of the crash and fad diets lurking around Tyler, Texas.

Diet does not refer to a temporary change in eating habits for the purpose of weight loss, but rather to a lifestyle habit.  The nutrition plan you adopt should be one that provides adequate nutrients to the body and is sustainable even after your weight loss goals have been met.  Speak to your Tyler, Texas doctor or dietary specialist for expert help on finding the right balance of fats, carbs, proteins, and calories.

Plenty of information is also available on the internet, but you must be careful of sites promising unrealistic results.  Doctors recommend a rate of weight loss of no more than 2 pounds a week for health.  It is easy to lose water weight for a week or two, making a diet initially seem like it is working, but once the water weight is off the body enters starvation mode and holds on to fat even more.

Of course, a healthy diet will aid in weight loss, but to achieve tone you must also exercise.  Start out by simply walking every day and build up from there.

Weight Loss Scams in Tyler, Texas

July 19th, 2010

When most people realize it is time to lose some weight, they become frantic, almost desperate, to find a way to shed the pounds as quickly as possible.  Unfortunately, it is exactly this mind frame that allows so many scam artists to take advantage of people.  In general, any product or program that promises huge results in an unrealistically short time period are scams, and most often dangerous.
[ad#HCG Call CJ]
Crash and fad diets in Tyler, Texas are the most common.  These programs will promise weight loss in excess of 15 pounds in only 7 days if you will follow a simple yet strict diet.  While you may lose weight initially, most of these diets provide dangerously low calorie intake and will be more detrimental in the long run.  Depriving your body of needed nutrients causes the body to go into starvation mode, storing fat, decreasing metabolism, and making it that much harder to lose meaningful weight later.  Avoid these diets like the plague!

Many people like to believe that there is a miracle pill that will allow them to lose weight without changing their lifestyle, and with the creative marketing of scammers it’s easy to understand why so many people believe it.  If you will look closely at diet pills and supplements, however, they will recommend you adopt a new diet and start exercising.  When people follow the program they believe it was the pill that gave the results, when in actuality it was their actions.  Save your money and use the diet and exercise alone for healthy, sustainable results.

Group kickboxing, yoga, spin, and zumba dance exercise classes are a great healthy way to lose weight fast and keep it off: Visit the Tony Cruz XTC Fitness & Sports location: Map Website Blog

Calorie Confusion For Weight Loss in Tyler, Texas

July 6th, 2010

One of the most effective ways to put your metabolism into high gear and shed the pounds is a recently discovered method called calorie confusion.  Essentially, calorie confusion means varying the amount of calories you take in from day to day.

Your body does not have time to get used to one thing, so your metabolism goes into overdrive.  Using calorie confusion is actually quite simple and effective on its own, but when combined with exercise can give outstanding results.

Each person’s caloric needs in Tyler, Texas will be unique, but for the sake of simplicity we will use a median calorie intake of 2,000.

The same principals will apply with any median calorie requirement though, so do a little research to see what your unique body needs.

For calorie confusion, start the first day by consuming 2,200 calories total.  If you are exercising as well, do your workouts on the days you consume the most calories.

On your off days, or the day after the high calorie intake, only consume 1,800 calories.

However many calories are required on any given day, make sure they come from healthy, well balanced foods.

That’s it! Alternate back and forth every day to keep your body confused.

Because you are not sustaining a low calorie intake, your body does not have time to go into starvation mode.

Because you are not sustaining a high calorie intake, your body does not have time to store fat.  Neat, right?

For a more managed approach using professional doctors and a staff we have seen a company on billboards in Tyler Texas called B Ki.
