At the end of November, Homefront will hit theaters everywhere around the country.
The action thriller has an all star cast. Jason Statham stars as Phil Broker, a former DEA agent, who moves with his daughter to a small quiet town to escape the troubles of his past. Little did he know he would soon cross paths with Gator, a local meth druglord who is played by James Franco.
Broker’s peace and quiet world is soon interrupted after discovering the town’s drugs and violence. Broker unexpectadly and against his will is forced back into action to save his daughter and his new town.
The film is directed by Gary Fleder and is based on a novel by Chuck Logan with the same title and was adapted into a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone. Others stars in the film include Winona Ryder and Kate Bosworth.
One review from Rotten Tomatoes states, “It looks like business as usual from the Jason Statham Action Movie Production Line but the oddly left field casting of James Franco and Winona Ryder as the villains is interesting (although mainly for Winona…)”
Another review adds, “Winona’s in it, what can I say?”.
The movie is set to hit the big screen Wednesday, November 27.
