Target in Tyler Texas

January 4th, 2010

Target

I may be a little partial toward Target as I am writing this, because I love the Target shopping experience. When you go to Target you may not be get as good of a price as if you were shopping at Wal-Mart. I can be guaranteed to get great brand names and great quality. I am pretty frustrated that Tyler does not have a Target shopping center, and only one Target store.

Target has some of the cutest little children’s clothes. Although the baby/toddle boy clothes are very few, the boy clothes have a great and stylish selection. As the season change find all you need for this up and coming winter. Find great brand name for assurance that you are getting the best quality for your money.

Target has great selections of men’s clothes for whatever your taste is. No matter the style, Target has clothes for all events or just every day prices. Also look at for Target for great work and sporting shoes.

At some stores it seems impossible to find the style of clothing that you like in the right size, but at Target you can always find beautiful selections in your size. Target also has great designs when you are expecting. You can find maternity jackets as the weather begins to become cold and you can find cute maternity bathing suits for those extremely hot Texan days.

Though the infant boy’s clothes selection is pretty limited, Target has a rather large selection for a little girl. They have great prices and wonderful sales. Target in Tyler Texas also has brand names and beautiful styles for every season of the year. Target is a bit more expensive that its neighboring competition, Wal-Mart. Target has beautiful bedding, cribs, car seats, high chairs and anything else you could need to be ready to welcome your new baby into the world. As your kid grows find great selection for your young toddler, such as gates and a training potty. Look for the developmental toys for your young child and bedding to match your child’s themed room.

If you are expecting and love the Target baby brand names, register. Target makes the register easy and simple to read. Also out of town friends can look at your registry online and at other stores.

If your big wedding day is approaching, you can find all the needs for your new house! Wedding registry is also available online or in the store. You can find beautiful kitchen appliances. Make your first home as a married couple your own with tasteful furniture, beautiful lamps, mirrors, wall clocks and so much more. Make your bathroom show your designer tastes with Target’s large selection of bathroom appliances.

Check out the great collection on televisions, video games, movies and music. In my opinion you can always find better prices on televisions at Wal-Mart and Target selection in very limited. Though the television selection is very limited, the video selection is very organized and plentiful. So instead of going to other stores and digging elbow deep into a giant box of movies, walk through aisles and pick through the organized displays of new releases, oldies, family, and even television show seasons.

If you are clothes shopping at Target and start to feel a little hungry, Target sells snacks and some frozen meals. The Target in Tyler has very little food, so I don’t recommend doing your grocery shopping here. But you will be able to pick up all your household needs, such as dish and laundry soap, toilet paper, and diapers. Also you will be able to get all your bath soap and shampoo, and all and all brand names makeup.

So find all your wants and needs here at Target and be sure to get great quality and brand names. Even though the prices may not be as good as many of their competitor’s prices, but their quality and the neatness of the store makes the shopping experiences easy and enjoyable.

On Target in Tyler

November 11th, 2009

As a traditional male, I hate shopping. While they do have the advantage of offering a huge variety, department stores can be a source of frustration. Service is often bad, the stores become disorganized quickly, and I often find it necessary to sift through a lot of low quality merchandise before finding what I want. Of all the major department store chains however, I do have my favorite.

Target is not only a great department store, but as huge corporations go, it’s a good Tyler neighbor. Between the distribution center, located just south of Lindale, and the area stores, the company employs thousands of East Texans. It is also very involved in community affairs and local charities. The store itself is always neat and clean which for me can make or break the department store experience. I find there is almost nothing worse than wandering the aisles of a dirty disorganized store looking for the one thing I came to buy. Target usually does a great job keeping the store attractive and easy to navigate.

Another of the store’s strengths is its staff. The employees of Target’s biggest competitor in Tyler are often disheveled and unhelpful. Those of Target are always attractive, neat and knowledgeable.

I will concede that the store’s prices can be slightly higher, but I remind the reader that you tend to get what you pay for. And with the Christmas season just around the corner, I trust there will be a lot of sales to bring in even the thriftiest customers. The quality of products like clothing is definitely higher than the competition’s, and I should mention the selection is better, particularly for business casual attire.

So if you’re looking for a better shopping experience and better quality goods overall, I suggest giving Target a try. While it’s admittedly not a local business a good portion of the dollars spent there do stay home in Tyler Texas. Target is located at 7003 on South Broadway, next to Wal-Mart. For more on Tyler area department stores, see the Tyler blog section of this site and look for the title “Wal-Marts in Tyler.”

Halloween Costume Shopping

November 10th, 2009

As the Halloween holiday approaches the Tyler area begins to turn the large abandoned buildings into Halloween costume shopping centers. Not many people shop around for the best prices or the best selection. Two new competing Halloween stores have opened in town right across the road from each other. I shopped at each comparing the two in both selection and prices.

At Spirit Halloween I was greeted by a scene of spooky lawn decorations setting the mood for the Halloween holiday. As I pass by aisle after aisle of costume for every person in your family I am greeted by an employee dressed up in a costume. I made the whole shopping experience more exciting, although I got pretty frustrated when an employee dressed as a serial killer would not leave my frightened kid alone. I looked through the many different choices of costumes for small children, I loved the many different fun outfits and all the different accessories to make top of the perfect costume. I walked across the store to the woman’s Halloween costumes. Every single item was either going to show everything up top or show so much leg its dangerously close to showing much more. I don’t understand why Halloween is the day of the year that woman are expected to dress as inappropriate as possible. Costumes actually had the word “slutty” on the bag; slutty nurse, slutty lunch lady, slutty cat. I don’t really understand how a cat is slutty, but seriously? Why can’t you ever find an appropriate, fun outfit for woman in Tyler Texas? I guess I will stick to getting material from Hobby Lobby and making my own!

Across Broadway is the Halloween Bootique. When I walked into the store I was not greeted by any scary yard ornaments or employees dressed for the season. Come to think of it I was not very greeted by normal dressed employees. No one asked if they could help me, I don’t think I said a single thing to an employee and I was the only costumer in the whole store. Everything was very spread out. The Halloween Bootique did not have as large of a selection as the Halloween Spirit.

The two stores’ costumes prices were about the same, and pretty much the same costumes, but Spirit Halloween was a much more fun experience. So make this Halloween holiday be the best, and make your house the spookiest in the neighborhood.

Tyler Texas Insurance Companies

Tyler Texas Home Insurance

Tyler TX Home Insurance

When shopping for an insurance company in Tyler Texas you want to try and go with a bundled plan if possible. By bundling your home, car, health, and life insurance under one insurance company you can save a lot of money. Some insurance companies specialize in just home, and auto insurance, some specialize in health and life and some insurance companies have insurance plans for all of these life issues. It can sometimes work in your favor to go with a bundled insurance plan for auto and home and use a different insurance agency for health insurance and life insurance. Many times insurance companies that specialize in one or the other will be able to serve your needs better because they know what products are out there and what will fit you best.

If you have a bank you use in Tyler that also offers auto and home insurance it can help you establish a stronger relationship with your bank for future loans and business deals if you use them for your Tyler Texas insurance needs. For instance, CFG Insurance is located in Citizens National Bank in Tyler Texas and offers a shopping experience for their banking customers. You can go into Citizens National Bank and Jeff Warr with CFG can shop insurance rates and plans for both your home and automobile and find a bundled insurance plan that will save you the most money. You do not have to bundle your home and car insurance but it is nice to know that there is this option for additional savings.

CFG insurance also offers health and life insurance as well if you need to get something for your business or just something personal for your family. Because personal health insurance is very expensive we recommend going with a health plan that has a very high deductible. Your health insurance will be much cheaper if you opt in for a health plan with something like a $10,000 deductible. This will insure you against any catastrophic injuries, illnesses and diseases.

For instance if you have to pay a $100 for a flue or check up that is usually manageable to pay for out of pocket but if you get cancer you know you will not go bankrupt in the process since your Tyler health insurance will cover that exorbitant cost of treating cancer. Sense the USA has the highest cancer cure rate in the world you will have insurance to pay for it and the best treatment available in the world. That is why people fly in from out of country just to get treatment for things like prostate cancer right here in East Texas. Another example is you receive a personal injury in a car accident or job related injury you will know that your health insurance will cover the cost of this as well if it was your fault. If it was not your fault the Tyler business or insured driver will cover the cost of your injury.

Jeff with CFG insurance can work out a payment plan where you pay each month or you can pay it all up front and save additional money on your insurance premiums. One of the main reasons I use CFG Insurance is because of their shopping the prices for me and finding the best coverage and price to meet my needs. If you enjoy talking local politics and issues in the Tyler area Jeff Warr is the Smith County Commissioner Precinct 1. This is the fastest growing East Texas precinct and includes Bullard, Flint-Gresham, Noonday, part of Lake Palestine, and the southwest part of Tyler.

If something happens and you sell one of your cars and need your insurance plan changed to show the change in ownership CFG insurance can quickly adjust the insurance premium and coverage and give you back any money you may have paid to reflect the change in coverage. Jeff is a pleasure to work with and we have been very pleased with the price of our home and car insurance and how quickly we can get our insurance coverage changed either over the phone or when dropping by Citizens National Bank to make the change.
