Texas Church Arsonists Caught

Texas arsonists mug shots

The arsonists were arrested late last night and this morning in San Antonio and Grand Saline. KLTV will be covering it live at 4:00 pm today. According to Crowley with the ATF, he said, “various techniques led members of a special task force to the men, including DNA evidence and phone tips.”

My questions revolve around if they turned out to be young highschoolers that are either satanists or think they are vampires. One news station said their last names are Jason Borque and Daniel Mcalister. Jason was a student at UT Tyler. Jason Borque Church Arsonist MugshotIf you know these guys feel free to comment below and fill us in. Is he a twilight fan, does he regularly where black trench coats, and other typical ridiculousness.

The ATF has reported that the other arsonists last name is Borque and was arrested in Northern Smith County. They said the sketches are unrelated to the men that were arrested. The sketches were men of interest at the time that could have some kind of link.

These are considered 1st degree felonies and could also be considered aggravated robberies. The ATF said that among some of the evidence they have is DNA evidence.

They may ask the judge to stack sentences. There is only one arrest warrant at this time which is the Dover Baptist Church warrant. They are confident that they will be arrested on other fires. They don’t believe the fire in Temple is related to the East Texas church fires.

According to NBC news one is from Lindale and the other guy is from Van Texas but after more news it appears more like Ben Wheeler Texas. So these guys were right in my backyard the whole time. I kind of suspected they might be from here considering how they were spreading the fires out around this location. They couldn’t resist to go after a couple of the churches in their own towns. If they were trying to throw police off I think it served more as an easy to find trail to their hideout.

Great Deli and Internet Connection

January 8th, 2010

McAlisters Deli

4325 Old Bullard Road
Tyler, TX 75703-1229
(903) 939-3300

If you need a good place to go to have a free wireless internet connection for your business meeting in Tyler Texas than try McAlisters Deli. They have good food like their delicous chili bowl or turkey sandwich and it is delivered fast. This deli also caters to businesses and events all the time. Next time you need to talk over some business while eating lunch it is hard to beat McAlisters in Tyler Texas.

I am not a big deli sandwich person but if I had to recommend one sandwich from McAlister’s it would be the berry Turkey sandwich. I think it goes by a slightly different name but you will be able to spot it on the menu. The chili bowl is still the best thing they have as they serve it in a home made bread bowl and the bread it is made with is some of the most delicious bread I have had. I think the bread bowl actually tastes better than most rolls I have been served at Tyler restaurants.

The chili that is served at the McAlisters in Tyler tastes homemade and not that disgusting stuff in a can. I have been to Tyler restaurants that when a customer orders chili they will break open a can of chili and heat it up in the microwave. I don’t know if anyone reading this has had chili in a can but it is very bad stuff and the meat tastes more like tofu or soggie bread than real chili. McAlister’s will not serve this type of food product and if you are a chili lover I think you are going to like my suggestion.
If chili is not your think McAlisters in Tyler also has a really good bacon chedder spud. This potato is the best on the menu and you can ask for sour cream and any additional toppings that you would like. Sometimes I will order the chili bowl and the bacon cheddar spud and eat them both.

Finally I would like to point out that they have the booths divided in a way to give each table privacy. McAlisters Deli in Tyler With the privacy and free wifi internet you will find McAlisters Tyler Texas to be a very good location for any type of meeting such as a business meeting or just a place to sit down and finish some homework while eating lunch. McAlisters is right next to Office Depot and the Tyler mall. If you would like to order catering you may speak with Diana Todd who is the manager over their catering side.

Jersey Mike’s Wins in the End

October 15th, 2009

For those looking for a great place to stop for lunch, Jersey Mike’s makes a delicious sandwich for a reasonable price. Now, I like an occasional Subway sandwich as much as anyone but I find that on completing one, I can hardly remember having eaten it. Not so with Jersey Mikes. At JM they build their sandwiches using only the freshest ingredients. And trust me when I say that this sandwich shop can satisfy even the biggest appetite.

My personal favorite is the cheese steak sub. Now as someone who has eaten a genuine Philly Cheese steak sandwich on the actual streets of Philadelphia, allow me to testify to the fact that they are pretty hard to beat. Well Jersey Mikes can’t beat them, but they come closer to matching them than anything I’ve tasted in Tyler or East Texas. The meatball sub is also one of their delicious signature sandwiches.

Jersey Mike’s is no big secret in Tyler. Lunch time brings out quite a mixed crowd. This store is a great place for a bite on the go, or an informal business lunch. In comparison to other area sandwich chains, I would place Mike’s near the top of the heap. In my opinion it beats out both Subway and Quizno’s. McAlister’s serves delicious fare, but due to personal reasons makes for awkward social situations. Newk’s is good, but priced too high for what you get. Schlotzsky’s is also serves some excellent food, so I find it a close call between them with JM winning by a nudge.

So the next time you find yourself craving a sub sandwich, try something other than the usual stops. Try Jersey Mike’s, it is located at 4754 South Broadway next to Eye Mart Express. I think I can guarantee you will remember eating there.
