Marshalls in Tyler Texas

July 6th, 2010

Marshalls sells top brand clothes at low end prices. In the commercials a sales woman had trouble with the language barrier and orders a thousands shirts instead of a hundred. Marshals buys the extra clothes at a low price and resell them cheap.

Marshalls in Tyler is a lot like another store I shop at here in Tyler, Ross. Though Ross’s women’s clothing selection is larger, Marshalls is a lot cleaner and it is easier to find what you are looking for. The women clothing section is not as large as many stores in the Tyler area, but they always have new selections and great prices. They also have a large selection of purses that are mainly leather. Not liking leather I am not a fan of Marshalls’s selection.

I really like the children’s clothing section in this store because the sizes are in order and there are not a ton of clothes on the floor. Marshalls prices are great! The prices are probably the thing I like the most about this store. Little children grow so fast, it seems like an outfit can fit my children for about six months then I am getting rid of it. It is easy to blow money on your children’s clothes, Marshalls helps with this by offering both quantity and quality at great prices.

Like Tyler’s store Ross, Marshalls has a pretty big shoe department; but unlike Ross you do not have to dig through the shoes on the floor to find a match. Marshalls has a great selection of brand name shoes like Skechers. It is so much easier to shop when you do not have to search the whole store for the left match to a pair of shoes.

The store has a great selection of wall décor, frames, mirrors, and furniture. I always like to look at the trunks at the store. Some times they have the prettiest art work, and iron wall décor.

Marshalls is much cleaner than other stores in Tyler, but you may not be able to have as much of a selection, but each piece of clothing is designer pieces. You can redecorate your house and get new furniture at the lowest price possible.

Marshalls

Tyler, TX 75703-4347

Marshalls is somewhat similar to Ross but more on a pricey side. They are located at 5604 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler, Texas 75703. The quality of things are better so I guess it is worth more. I guess it depends on the buyer whether you are able or willing to pay more. When I was in school I loved this place and back then I thought it was so cheap until I discovered Ross and realized there are other places that cost less. You can find some great buys if you look around and go there when they have some great sales. A couple of weeks ago a friend I know and I went there with some other friends and sure found some really great stuff for $10 and others for more. She found Roxy name brand hoodies for $10, along with some shirts and purses that were a good deal. Anywhere you go, if you are not careful you can end up spending way more than you planned.

They have something for everyone in your household. They have clothes for juniors, adults, men’s and children. They carry shoes, purses and all other kinds of accessories. All your baby essentials are there. A great place for you to go get your special person a gift for the perfect occasion. They have a great selection on workout items if you are into that kind of stuff. Also things to decorate your house, your bedroom, kitchen, etc. Marshalls has Gucci shoes for $349.00 compared to $700.00 at other stores.

Still too expensive for me personally, but for others this is an excellent deal. Sun glasses ranging from $15 to $39 a pair. It always depends on the customer and what you are looking for. They also have a promotional night where you can win a $50 gift card if you just follow them on twitter. You answer the questions of the week for your chance to win. Sounds easy enough and you never know, take a chance and you could gain some money for yourself.

Marshalls is a nice place, very professional and you can find amazing stuff, name brand at low prices. Their reputation has been built on offering their customer good name brand merchandise at a better price than their competition. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you are welcome to return it.

Ross Dress For Less

Ross Dress For Less

4943 S Broadway Ave
Tyler TX

Open M-S 9.30am-9.30pm

Ross is a great store for bargain hunters. Here you can find designer and brand name clothes for every member of your family at half the usual department store or boutique prices.

Come prepared to hunt though – in Tyler the word has got round that Ross has good deals and the clothes have often been rooted through by many a shopper and may not be in the right size aisle. The mess gets worse towards the end of the shopping day!

Ross has really nice baby items at low prices, perfect for baby gifts as well as for your own munchkin, and the shoe section is well worth looking through – especially for children’s sneakers. There is also a selection of lingerie and the maternity clothes are some of the best value and style I have seen.

They have great bags, purses and other accessories too, all at much reduced prices.

Fashions aren’t the only bargain. Ross has a wonderful home section. I love to browse in the kitchen area looking at the dinnerware, pots and pans and cookware. They carry such nice stuff! There are also good deals on seasonal items, baskets of various shapes and sizes, small items of furniture and pictures. If you are looking for a nice photo frame, Ross has a good selection. The price stickers come easily off the glass with nailpolish remover. Actually, there are quite a few nice gifty items for the home.

I have never personally braved the bedding, towel or drapery section but am sure there are bargains to be had there too. Oh and there are towels, lots of towels.

Ross is worth checking out if you need to buy a ‘man gift’ – there are lots of ideas and there are some good children’s toys and books too, though I have found that the boxes are often damaged which may give the wrong impression if you are buying a present for someone else’s kid.

The store itself is not very tidy or organized and you may wait in line at the check-out longer than you would like – especially at Christmas – but I guess this is one of the ways that Ross manages to make savings and offer items at lower than average prices. You may not take the carts out of the shop either so don’t park too far away if you’re planning on buying big items. One thing that does annoy me is that they don’t have automatic doors – I always have a stroller as well as my shopping bags and it always seems hard to get out of the shop! I guess that makes it rather inaccessible for the handicapped too.

All that to say, Ross is a great shop. They have new shipments at least every other day so if you like bargain hunting you’ll need to check back regularly frequently. Relax, there’s a Starbucks across the parking lot!
Oh, one final tip -look for the red tags – they are clearance prices.
