Men Can Expect more estrogen when using HCG Hormones

February 8th, 2011

Estrogen in MenThe age old debate of the differences between men and women has come into our hcg hormone weight loss program. Everything from sports to business to politics to sexuality has breached the subject, so now it’s our time.

Interestingly enough research into the subject has been more about the different uses of HCG between men and women than what are the differences in the HCG injections for weight loss. These other uses include, for men the increase of testosterone and for women increase of fertility.

Should a man use HCG Hormones to lose weight?

The greatest difference seems to be a large chasm of different side effects. For men, the main risks are an enlarging of the prostrate and an uncomfortable enlargement of the prostrate due, mostly, to high levels of estrogen in the hormone.

Now, for women the side effects are contracting Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), as well as cases of increasing chance of pregnancy and creating multiple ovrum. When it comes to the weight loss itself observations have shown differences, although these observations have not been thoroughly investigated.

According to some comparisons observations have been made of men losing almost twice as much weight as the women starting the program at the same time. The theory is that because men have more muscle mass to burn the calories, the HCG diet protocol allows more calories to be burnt up as muscle burns calories.

Although not researched, it is also speculated that the 500-800 calorie a day diet recommended in the program would cause greater struggles for a male as men tend to use more calories throughout a day. Based on these observations, overall opinion can be that, as stated, the HCG diet protocol would be equally productive for both men and women.

Dark Little Steroid Secret to HCG Hormone

February 1st, 2011

HCG Hormone and Steroid RecoveryYou know what momma use to always say, “Watch the company you keep”. And when it comes to the hormone HCG, or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, some of the company it keeps wouldn’t make momma too happy.

In the 1970’s HCG was first introduced as an injectable solution used for stopping obesity. But since that time HCG has shown a dark side. In fact, you might remember hearing the initials H.C.G. used in a recent high profile news report.

HCG Hormones

HCG was one of the “prohibited substances” found in Los Angeles Dodgers baseball player, Manny Ramirez. Why would a substance used by thousands for their weight loss solution would be banned from professional sports?  Well just like the majority of listed substances banned, it has to do with steroids.

The dark little secret of HCG is that it is an excellent recovery drug for those in between steroid treatments. After taking anabolic/androgenic steroids the body suffers a considerable drop in their testosterone level which creates a difficult transition for the user as it creates some loss in strength and muscle mass.

It is in those transition times that HCG is used as it has been found to produce more testosterone in a quick and reliable way. Also, it has been found that HCG helps with testicular atrophy which is a shrinking of the testes as a result of mega doses of steroids. Once HCG has been injected the testes return to normal condition (size) quickly.

Seeing this other side of HCG use can suggest why the drug has increased in popularity once again. So, if you are one who errs on the safe side, I would take this into account when considering continuing or beginning HCG injections as a weight loss method.

Under the tongue or injection regarding HCG Weight Loss Hormone?

January 29th, 2011

HCG Shots vs Under TongueIf you have done any research into using the hcg hormone as a weight loss option then you know that there are two recommendations for how to administer the hormone.

One is through injection and the other is through sublingual (or under the tongue). For those of you who have a great fear of needles and syringes, once you hear of the tongue drop option it’s like the clouds part with a beam of sunlight shining through and a chorus of “hallelujah” begins to play.

Is HCG Right for you?

But if you are one of those who are “so-so” with needles, then the question begs, which is the best option? Well, here are a few factors to consider.  With needles the benefits include equal weight loss, fast absorption, and less frequency due to only one per day.

The weaknesses of injections are that they have an expiration date, can produce infections, swelling, and itchiness, as well as causing pain, lumps and muscle cramps, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. With injections you must get a visit a doctor and receive a prescription as well as you need to mix the ingredients before administering.

The final factor is that they are far more expensive. With the drops there are pretty much just benefits including that they are more powerful, already mixed and ready for use, they have no expiry date, no side effects, no need for prescription or doctor visit, and they are quite a bit cheaper.

The biggest weakness is that, for effectiveness, you must administer 6 times a day and any inconsistency of this will cause hindrance in weight loss.

FTC and FDA Findings on HGC Hormone Weight Loss Diets

January 26th, 2011

Weight Loss Evidence Through Pregnancy Hormone InjectionsFor those of you who give much value to the commissions and administrations our government has established to regulate all areas of our society, you would be interested to hear what they say about your HCG weight loss program.

And it isn’t anything new. At one point in the 1970’s HCG became the most used weight loss substance throughout the United States. That is, until the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had their word.

In 1976 the FTC ordered specific organizations and clinics that sold and distributed HCG injections to no longer describe HCG as a safe, effective, and viable weight loss program approved by the FDA.

And since that time all HCG promoters and distributers have been required to issue in writing this warning:

THESE WEIGHT REDUCTION TREATMENTS INCLUDE THE INJECTION OF HCG, A DRUG WHICH HAS NOT BEEN APPROVED BY THE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION AS SAFE AND EFFECTIVE IN THE TREATMENT OF OBESITY OR WEIGHT CONTROL. THERE IS NO SUBSTANTIAL EVIDENCE THAT HCG INCREASES WEIGHT LOSS BEYOND THAT RESULTING FROM CALORIC RESTRICTION, THAT IT CAUSES A MORE ATTRACTIVE OR “NORMAL” DISTRIBUTION OF FAT OR THAT IT DECREASES THE HUNGER AND DISCOMFORT ASSOCIATED WITH CALORIE-RESTRICTIVE DIETS.

On top of this written warning the FDA required labeling and advertising to make this statement: HCG has not been demonstrated to be effective adjunctive therapy in the treatment of obesity.

There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or “normal” distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets.

Surprisingly enough, despite such opposition from the FDA and FTC HCG continues to be a widely used weight loss option.

HCG Injections Equals a Shot to the gut

January 17th, 2011

HCG Hormone ShotInjecting the hormones HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin), Oxyntomodulin, or Symlin for weight loss can be, both literally and figuratively, a real “shot to the gut”.

With each hormone having it’s variances in origin all three are essentially used the same in weight loss: inject it into your body and it will reduce your appetite to eat. The first attempts at injecting hormones for weight loss started as far back as the 1950’s when the pregnancy induced hormone, HCG, was thought to burn abnormal fat as well as help suppress hunger once injected into the body.

Oxyntomodulin is a little bit more interesting as it is a hormone released by the small intestine into the bloodstream to let the brain know that you are eating. The theory is that, when injected 15-30 minutes before a meal, you are tricking your body into thinking you have already eaten.

Is the HCG Hormone Shot Safe?

Symlin is a synthetic drug that copy cats the insulin regulating hormone Amylin. Primarily used to help diabetics, some theorize that the man-made hormone can help non-diabetics with weight loss by, once again, making individuals feel fuller and less likely to binge.

Among the loopholes in this method of weight loss is that each use of the hormones is accompanied with a regimented low-calorie diet. So, if you are exploring hormone injections for weight loss, I suggest you save yourself the cost of the injections and the hassle of pricking yourself with needles in the gut and just institute a 500 calorie per day diet along with plenty of exercise.
